Soteria Brow-Lab specializes in Microblading,  Combo-Brows and natural appearing hairstrokes using SPMU-Brows – During your consultation at Soteria our brow-technician will discuss your preferred style, face shape, lifestyle, and skin type. Notably,  oily or thickened skin does not typically retain microblading pigments  very well, comparative with the SPMU technique. Your dream eyebrows will then be pencil drawn and measured  to create a shape template. Prior to the procedure we can apply topical numbing cream for optimum comfort during the procedure, the application process is typically complete within 1.5 hours.

Before & Aftercare

There is no downtime however you may experience some slight redness for few hours following the procedure, We advise to avoid getting your brows wet and apply your aftercare ointment twice daily for 1-week after the treatment. Also avoid sun/ sun-bed exposure and swimming or activities that induce facial perspiration and avoid scratching your brows during the healing process.

Selecting Your Brow Technique

Style

The first introduction to clients preferred brow- style typically comes from images they select from our portfolio and/or online; we then discuss whether this style would suit your features, facial measurements and lifestyle, before proceeding to build the perfect eyebrows template.

Thickness

Refers to the thickness of each hair stroke we can vary this according to the template agreed during your consultation, and adapt during the procedure as and when required – If you prefer a specific thickness we suggest to mention this to your technician prior to your treatment.

Mapping

Refers to the placement, density and direction of each long and short brow hairstroke from the inner to outer points, and the rise and curvature of your brow arches. Popular designs typically depend on whether you prefer a classic brow-shape or a more modern Insta-Brow style.  

Pigments

Notably, certain skin types are incompatible with particular techniques, whereby oily and thicker skin is unsuited to microblading due to poor pigment retention.

SPMU VS. MICROBLADING

Micropigmentation

SPMU micropigmentation brows are created using a specialised machine with single needle, that can be programmed to a range of formations to create tiny hairstrokes that replicate natural eyebrow hairs one-by-one. An organic pigment  is then deposited into a superficial layer of the skin, these typically fade completely within 3-5 years. Clients can choose individual hair strokes for a very natural finish, or the shaded powder technique for a more dense finish, we discuss the process step-by-step during your consultation. Generally the procedure takes 1.5 hours and costs £250. There is typically no downtime aside from slight redness that may last for a few hours, and clients should avoid wetting their eyebrows  for 48 hours after the procedure.

Microblading

Microblading creates a perfectly shaped brow using tiny hair strokes that are delicately and expertly bladed on by hand using a manual handheld device with a single ultra fine blade attached, the blade is then coated in a semi-permanent colour pigment to create natural appearing eyebrow hair strokes. A pigment that most precisely matches your natural eyebrow hairs is carefully selected. This treatment is perfect for clients that would like to fill gaps in sparse brows or to simply achieve definition or colour that lasts up to 2 years. Treatment Options

Selecting your Style

Soteria offers super natural nano-brows, Microblading, Ombre and Powder-brows, Combo brows and SPMU brows with micropigmentation. Meaning you can choose from a natural appearing style to a more glamourous 3D style. #Nano-Brows

A subtle and natural appearing style, that’s  perfectly compatible with a professional image or every day style, also nano-rows require less touch ups than microblading. Pigment retention can vary per individual due to certain factors.

Technique

Applied 1-by-1 with one lash extension per natural lash, with the finest most lightweight silk lashes, using a very thin amount of moderate strength lash-adhesive. However, whilst the glue is not our strongest, since the lashes are so lightweight with each natural lash gently stroked with adhesive, they last as long as other individual lashes, and typically even longer.

Nano blading provides a more natural finish compared to traditional methods, the precise hair-like strokes closely resembles natural eyebrows with flattering results.

Techniques

Typically, up to 60-100 individual lashes are attached per eye (varies on the quantity of natural lashes). In simple terms, SOTERIAlashes are the same as standard Classic-Style individual extensions, but much fuller with more voluminous, silky soft mink lashes used. A great choice if you desire enhanced length & volume, with individual lashes to maintain natural looking results.
