CST

Collagen Stimulation Therapy (CST) is a minimally invasive treatment that stimulates the skins natural collagen production using a device to create micro-punctuations in the skin using various needle sizes depending on your specific skin-conditions. We use shorter  (5-1.0 mm) needles for anti-aging treatments and longer  ones (5–2 mm) in acne treatments. Treatments can be merged with active serums, light therapy or platelet rich plasma (PRP) for optimum results.

Treatment Indications -

Treatments are performed with either a manual roller or an automated devices including: Dermapen, MTS Roller, Roll CIT, Genuine Dermaroller, BioSkin Jetting & Smoothing, or Collagen P.I.N. Indications for  CST include: Skin tightening | Minimising fine lines & wrinkles |Acne scars | Tightening pores |Stretch marks | Scars or  to reduce hyperpigmentation

How it works: -

During the procedure we use  topical anaesthetic to minimise discomfort before using a roller with  micro-sized needles to create tiny punctuations on your skin, triggering the skins natural regeneration process and stimulating collagen production; over the proceeding months your skin appears more revitalised, plumper and smoother.

Process:

CST  treatment times vary depending on the area being treated  but typically last 1-hour. You may experience a slight ‘tingling sensation during the treatment however to avoid any pain, and minimise discomfort your practitioner will  apply  topical anaesthetic in advance.

After-Care:

We recommend  to avoid touching, rubbing, or picking at your skin due to the risk of infection and  only using lukewarm water during washing for up to 48 hours, Also ensure your hands are clean before touching your face, and avoid wearing make-up post-treatment for 12-hours and apply SPF.

Side-effects:

The recovery time of the treatment depends on the needles used, on average downtime is between 12 – 72 hours; you  may experience common side-effects such as redness +/- swelling, or less commonly bleeding, sores, bruising, dry-skin or milia.
