Soteria Facial Peels

A chemical peel involves a process whereby a specifically formulated acid based liquid or gel is applied to the surface of the skin. Previously high concentrations acids were used to penetrate deep into the dermis in an attempt to stimulate fibroblasts & collagen production. However, time, trial & error taught us this was not necessary since a course of peels with a lower acidity could achieve comparable results, without thinning the skin & predisposing to both premature-ageing or hyper pigmentation.

Reflecting how skin-resurfacing does not require compromising the integrity of the epidermis. Environ peels are different in that the vehicle is not an acid, but a gel or a cream. This creates the concept of a cool peel, meaning that as the peel is applied, the water evaporates, cooling the skin. They are easy to apply, safe, versatile, and are well tolerated by patients.
